Squeaky Clean!

John David loves bath time! He smiles and giggles and enjoys every second! We tried to catch a smile, but he stops everytime we get the camera out and stares at it wide eyed! I guess he's just trying to figure out what that thing is we always stick in his face!

'Lil Buds!

What a fun picture! Our cousins, Dan and Danielle Renstrom, are due with their first little precious baby in September! This is John David's future Bud!! We can't wait to meet him or her!

Mommy told John David that Haley's room was decorated with bees, so he thought he should pick some flowers to keep the bees happy! He's pretty smart for his age!:-)

We have really enjoyed spending time with Haley and her parents! It's been a blessing! We had given him a talk before he went over to Haley's house this time about how he should behave infront of a little girl and how to be a gentleman...well, besides the accidental pee pee all over her room during a diaper change and then, yes, the other...poop all over her nice pretty changing table, he did pretty well! But he still has lots to learn! :-) Not to mention how to wear his pants...this picture cracked us up...not too much higher and they'd be to his chin!

John David and Will! Will's mommy and him will sometimes come and play with us! John David loves it! We always have a great time! Will is going to have a little sister soon, so this is good baby practice for him! He's doing great!

Gulf Shores!!

Every year David's side of the family will go to Gulf shores, AL for a fun week of vacation! There was 28 people this year who stayed in one big house on the beach! This was John David's first time and he loved it! He had lots of fun getting spoiled with all these guys! Thanks Papa Ward for making it all possible!

John David has his own little spot in the living room. He likes to lie on his blanket that Mamaw Ward made for him and play with some of his toys. This is his favorite toy right now...he loves to look at faces and cool patterns so this mirror is great!!

Haley Elizabeth and John David

Our friends, Megan and Kyle Hubbard, gave birth to their precious daughter, Haley Elizabeth, just two weeks after John David was born. Haley is beautiful! John David really liked her:-)

I thought this was pretty funny! First, John David was crying, then Haley started as soon as John David was finished! It looks like she's biting him here!! hah!

John David and his little buddy...at first John David was almost the size of his little buddy! He's growing fast! He weighs 9 lbs. and 12 oz! He's gained 34 oz. in less than 30 days! His doctor said that was Great!!

John David really likes to go outside and look around in his Baby Bjorn. Daddy loves every second he gets with him!

May 31st Updates!

John David is growing! At his last doctor's visit, on May 16, he weighed 7 lb, 10 oz and had grown to 21 1/4 inches. Uncle Seth and him weighed together on the 27th and we concluded John David weighed about 9 lbs or so! I also measured him with his cool inch worm and he had grown to 24 inches!! We are just now able to make him smile....or so we think:-) And last night you won't believe it....he turned over! Only six weeks old! He was on his belly....we left the room....and then he was on his back!! We missed it! He hasn't done it since, but hopefully he'll do it again soon!!

May 28th!

Our One Year Anniversary already here!!
We had lots of fun going out...just the two of us! We went downtown to a nice restaurant where there is a live Jazz band playing. We went here the night David proposed! Once we got in though we remembered you only get a little food at really nice places like this...we were hungry...we went to Macaroni Grill...no jazz band, but an Italitan guy sang to us...and we left with a full tummy! Yum!

My Very First Mother's Day!

My first Mother's Day was great! Daddy, John David, and I had lots of fun going to church and sharing the day with Leah and her family which made the day even more special! My mom got me a "memory bracelet" to remember my first mother's day with pictures of John David, David, and I. Leah actually makes the bracelets and I thought you all might like to see them! The Totels Visit!!

My sister, Leah, and her family came to see John David! She has two little sweet girls, so it was fun to have a baby boy around!

Aunt Leah gave John David a bath...and he loved it!! He didn't cry one time! We cudddled him up in his towel afterward and he was content as could be!

We went to pick strawberries in this big field! We had such a good time! Leah fixed them for dessert that night and they were amazing!!

Fun in the Sun!

John David likes for us to pull up the blinds and let the sun in...he'll sit in his bouncy and rest...sometimes he'll fall asleep!

Daddy wanted John David to take a nap with him! He seems to really like that arm up near his face! He sleeps like that a lot!

"Suckle" Time!

This is the very first time John David ever used a paci. We call it his "suckle" time. He likes it!
