Love.

Five years of being together....almost three years of marriage....(okay, so I know that's not so long)...and two kids later....I'm more in love with him today than I was wearing my wedding gown. I remember this look on my face from our dating months.....he brings so much joy to my life. When God's doing the fulfilling and the satisfying and we're doing the serving and the loving....there's nothing more wonderful than marriage. I love him. By the way- we were making funny faces and taking pictures....this is not his normal face:-) heeh!

Dedicated to Kristy Elaine.

Kristy, I pulled a you. Look close at my earrings. Atleast my shoes match -But I must admit, I did double check after I saw the earrings :-) Love you, sis. And see you soon!!

We got your package!!

Since you couldn't see him get it, I thought I'd let you know how excited he was to get a "Prise" in the mail!! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa!

"...one hearty renunciation..."

I'm sitting here at our computer in the office and just wanted to share these quotes with you guys. They are from the book, The Practice of the Presence of God. I haven't finished it yet, but have found much insight to gain from Brother Lawrence, the man from which the author is writing. The verses of Scripture that come to mind when reading have brought so much joy to my heart the last couple of days. His Word is perfect Truth, the problem isn't there. The problem is with me...us- imperfect man. So many times I have found myself in this place of fear...will I obey?....truly I am saying that I don't believe Him. Yes, I might believe in Him- even the demons do. But do I believe Him?! And the father of the child said with tears, "Lord, I believe, Help thou mine unbelief." He loves me and knows me from the inside out. His gentle little whisper has come again, "Trust Me."

“That many do not advance in the Christian progress, because they stick in penances and particular exercises, while they neglect the love of God, which is the end. That this appeared plainly by their works, and was the reason why we see so little solid virtue. That there needed neither art nor science for going to God, but only a heart resolutely determined to apply itself to nothing but Him, or for His sake, and to love Him only.”

“He told me that all consists in one hearty renunciation of everything which we are sensible does not lead to God.”

“…And that when the appointed times of prayer were past, he found no difference, because he still continued with God, praising and blessing Him with all his might, so that he passed his life in continual joy; yet hoped that God would give him somewhat to suffer, when he should grow stronger.”

“The time of business, said he, does not with me differ from the time of prayer; and in the noise and clutter of my kitchen, while several persons are at the same time calling for different things, I possess God in as great tranquility as if I were upon my knees at the Blessed Sacrament.”

Night Night goodies...

We put John David to bed with his normal routine...books, songs, and night night prayer.... right before Dad and I go to sleep, David goes back in to pray for John David...one night this is what he found....

He stood up, still with the blanket over his face, and plopped right back down...
Dad was nice and put him back in the cozy bed....but with this look, I wonder if he liked the cocoon state better!

Welcome...

Such a welcome into little boyhood! He was chasing after a ball and....well, you can guess what happened....right into the coffee table! In this picture it actually looks great. This was after ice had been on it...Before the ice it was an egg protruding from his little forehead! A first for mom, but I'm sure not the last!

EXIT...

We are official:-)
We've joined with EXIT Realty of the Valley and are so excited to get things running!

Good Job Mom!

Mama, these are the pics you took!! I love them! I played with them on the computer and now I'm going to hang them up! Thanks!! I knew you had it in you:-)hehe!

A Carolina Christmas!

We had such an awesome Christmas in NC! There are so many pictures I wanted to put up to try to show how much fun we had, but I decided that was impossible! With trips to the zoo and gym, backyard fun, living room dancing, pump it up slides, Chucky cheese, and everything else I think every second was jam packed of fun...so I'll limit the pictures to just a few!
The whole crew on Christmas Sunday...
The six it started with :-)
Now there's lots of little monkeys!
Chucky Cheese!! Does this show personality or what?!
Proof that David did beat Daddy down the "Pump It Up"slide!!
The Live Nativity at church! There were four different scenes...the shepherds following the star, the nativity (with live animals that John David loved!) , the cross, and the angels at the empty tomb! It was a great outreach! A little cold for the actors, but worth every second! The true meaning of Christmas! So many of us forget the real reason....if we would all stop putting focus on Santa and put all the presents behind us and reach up and forward for Christ I bet we would each enjoy the real "magic" of Christmas! The birth of God into humanity. Magic- no, but miraculous- yes! (okay, so I'll stop preaching now!)The church started this tradition of the Live Nativity many many years ago and it just keeps growing and growing! It's one of my favorites!!

The much loved Chuck picture! It all started with Kobe and his liking to shoes....his are the red ones in the middle...he said that next time he might get orange ones:-)
Kobe and Kloe have said that they are going to get married when they grow up....after much explaining I think they are starting to understand marriage is not an option for them! One of Kobe's little girl friends told him that since he can't marry Kloe, he will have to marry her. After a second of thought he replied, "Sure, that will be okay, but Kloe will have to live with us."
His favorite animal at the zoo....
Hudson's cute little gummy smile! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma for such a wonderful and lovely visit with all of you guys! We love you each and miss you all much!! Can't wait until the next time!!
